RHMCBA’s Chinese New Year Gala

The Richmond Hill Markham Chinese Business Association welcomes the Year of the Dragon at Regal Chinese Cuisine in Richmond Hill. Local business owners, vendors and supports of the association came together to see old friends, meet new members, and discussed outlooks for the new year.

As usual with RHMCBA events, it begins with a networking session to meet with fellow business owners, representatives from the municipal, provincial and federal government, and vendors who support and serve local businesses. Throughout the night, guests enjoyed good food and conversation, with special presentations from Yorkville Asset Management and Travel Industry Council of Ontario.

For more information about the RHMCBA, visit their website at http://www.rhmcba.ca/ and we’ll see you at their next event in March!

Here are some highlight photos and full gallery follows after.

Happy Lunar New Year!

It’s the Year of the Dragon!

This Chinese New Year presentation at Markville Mall in Markham was a bit of a impromptu photo shoot, passing by and just happened to have two lenses and my camera with me. Just using what I have!

From the Summer – Asian Heritage Month Celebration

One from the summer, since its a very grey week I decided to dig an event I haven’t posted yet. PSAC and CEIU organized an Asian Heritage Month event at Scarborough City Hall’s Albert Campbell Square. Featuring food, music and fun presentations, it was a summer’s day of sharing culture and enjoying the great weather with fellow CEIU brothers and sisters.

I miss the summer.

Chloe and Chelsea

Chloe and Chelsea spent an afternoon exploring the urban nature park at Evergreen Brickworks (ebw.evergreen.ca) and occasionally stopped to pose for photos. Occasionally meaning 30 milliseconds. Kids will be kids and of course will run around climbing things giving the photographer and camera a good work out. A suggestion from these two for next photo shoot is to have it at their favourite neighbourhood playground. Appointment will be set soon!

Smiles and Giggles @ A Baby Shower

It wasn’t very long ago where I was at Ann and Ray’s wedding as their photographer, and now its for their baby shower!

Friends and family joined them for an afternoon of treats, games and fun!

The wonderful world of Winnie The Pooh was the theme of the party and yes there was honey given out as prizes!

Guests were asked to bring in their baby photo for a matching game. They had to go around the party room trying to match faces to their photos!

Next game was “What would Ann and Ray’s baby look like?”. We had a random set of baby photos, scissors and glue, and baby faces. Best ones were voted by Ann and Ray! Strangely, many thought the baby would be born with a 5 o’clock shadow.

The Diaper Challenge: 5 were volun-told to choose a diaper, and eat the contents!!!! Yummy!

A photo booth was set up to provide some good memories for years to come! The photo booth even had a  Fuji Instax Instant Film camera! Polaroid memories!
